In the previous posting on soul pieces, I wrote about an important consideration in alternative or holistic healing is how people often cast away energetic pieces of themselves when the situation they’ve encountered is too overwhelming for them to deal with. This soul piece loss can lead to lives where people don’t feel complete, because, well…. they aren’t. They’ve unconsciously thrown away energetic parts of themselves. Those pieces of our energetic selves don’t get lost into the Universe however; they’re sitting around in our energetic field and sometimes we unconsciously choose to take on extra pieces that aren’t ours.
To my way of seeing things, when I’m doing a metaphysical intake for a new client, additional soul pieces that someone has taken on appear to me as raised bumps on the surface of a golf ball. (In this metaphor, missing soul pieces that I wrote about last time would look like dips or perhaps even holes in a golf ball.) The bigger the bump, the more impact that added soul piece is having on a person’s life. With techniques I’ve been shown, I can send the additional soul pieces back into the energetic field around us, and hopefully back to the person to whom they belong if they’re willing to take them back yet. That original person, however, might have been dead for hundreds of years, but the missing energy can still be returned to them.
A person would take on somebody else’s energy if it matches something that feels like is missing in his own life. It’s not rational that you would take on somebody else’s essence, as usually it’s the body brain or reptilian brain that’s involved, (see previous post on triune brain theory.) An example would be if a person associated at an early age that strife with his mother, who supplied his needs, was inevitable. If that person, as he goes along through his life, energetically stumbles across energetic energy, cast off by somebody else, that feels like his mother, then he’ll allow that piece to stick on to himself. Having that stressful connection with her, who is probably out of his life by then, is better than having no connection at all. In his unconscious, non-rational mind, it feels like his needs will be met by the nurturing mother he always wanted.
Often, I work with clients who have more of their intuitive abilities intact, and not repressed from early childhood. That person can often put their awareness inside of that soul piece, if I tell them what part of their body to focus on. When they listen, they can sometimes tell who the person reminds them of. Other times, I need to go inside and I’ll be able to say this feels like your father, or an uncle about his age, or this energy is from several hundred years ago. Like all aspects of intuitive healing, it’s not necessary to know who the energy reminds the person of to transform it and send it on its way, but sometimes, it’s shown to either me or the person I’m working with if it’s important to that person’s forward movement on their spiritual path.
People can pick up energy from a wide range of sources. I once worked on a man who needed to have 3 soul pieces removed. One was from when he had driven his car through the energy field of a couple in the neighborhood who had recently had a fight as they were driving home. (There were a lot of fights in his own family growing up.) The second piece was from another neighbor who had had a fight with someone while fishing on a nearby pier. The third piece was small, and it’s source wasn’t clear to me, but it quickly left. Often times, ancient places, such as temples, have lots of negative energy associated with them. I’ve had three clients who’ve brought back soul pieces from one temple in Bali, even though the three visited at different times, and different stages in their lives and spiritual paths.
However, in order to reassure that the person doesn’t just fill what’s now a hole in their energetic selves back up with someone else’s energy, the reason why the person took on the additional energy in the first place needs to be healed. Otherwise they’ll just take on new energy to fill what’s their unconscious minds feel is missing in them.
Dealing with soul pieces is a pretty common part of my healing practice, as most people have either small ones they’ve added on or thrown away. For the most part, they’ll go through their lives without too much impact, but oftentimes, when the pieces concerned are larger, then some healing work needs to be done to deal with the issue. That’s where I come in, having dealt with this issue for hundreds of people.
Most people have no idea that they have extra pieces or are missing any parts of themselves. A good indicator is if it feels like there’s some part of you that’s not you that’s running your life, or that you don’t feel “whole”. Do you have any questions about whether or not that might be true for you?
